Stéen Industri AB
A fast-growing family company from Småland!
It all began in 1977 when the family bought a small company that manufactured mirrors for the automotive industry and shop mirrors of glass.
In 1984 we also took over the manufacture of security mirrors from another company and in 1986 we moved all production to Vittaryd in the Swedish province of Småland. We continued to build up the company for some years and in 1992 expanded operations with a complete factory for contracted production of thin metal chains.
In 1993 we also began to manufacture flat mirrors and domed mirror of plastic. Towards the end of the year we were able to offer a complete product line which we introduced to a number of export markets.
The EuroMirror brand was registered in 1994. In that year we began to take part in international fairs in earnest. We also installed new equipment for vacuum forming.
To meet the market’s demand for documented quality assurance, we began a systematic program of improvement leading to ISO 9001 certification. This was completed in December 1995.
In the same year we expanded exports to several new markets. We also received considerable long-term orders for new contract work.
In 1996 operations moved to new, purpose-built premises in Vittaryd.
Because of the death of one of the founders in 2000, an alteration of generations takes place, and since then the company is owned by the brother and sister Peter and Annelie Stéen.
In the summer of 2001, one of Europe’s largest Vacuum-metallisation machines is installed. This enables short production times and a big flexibility.
